Sleep Safe Space - Designed for Safety

Each element of your Baby Sleep Safe has been carefully chosen to add to the level of protection based on evidence of potential risk of accidental suffocation and sudden infant death.

  • Rigid baby sized plastic unit and cover - makes it less likely that your baby will slip
under bedding and change from the 'face up' position. Also provides a physical barrier to guard against accidental suffocation. Your baby will fit the Baby Sleep Safe for the full risk period of 5-6 months.
  • Mattress - the right sized mattress protects your baby from becoming wedged between the mattress and the side of the Baby Sleep Safe. I have sourced
this from a reputable baby mattress manufacturer.
  • Underblanket - woollen underblanket helps keep baby warm in winter and cool in summer. Wicks any moisture away from skin keeping baby comfortable. Acts as a mattress protector.
    • Bottom Sheet - this sheet cannot come loose and cover your baby's face as it is a pillow case design and made to measure.
    • Top Sheet
      - the 'wrap around' top sheet holds your baby securely and avoids the need for swaddling during sleep. (Swaddling is safe when the wrapping is firm around the shoulders, the material is lightweight, the face and head stay uncovered, and the baby is lying flat on the back. It is not safe when the wrapping is loose, the material heavy, it also covers the head or the baby is lying on the side or front, or is propped or inclined. It is not safe once your baby begins to roll over.)
  • Blanket - lightweight layers that drape your baby's body. Covers are more likely to stay in place when on top of the 'wrap around' sheet. This means your baby is more likely to keep warm.
